ServiSeek Ltd: Anti-Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Privacy Policy for ServiSeek
Last updated: 9th December 2025
1. Our Commitment
ServiSeek Ltd ("ServiSeek", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to conducting its business ethically, with integrity, and in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. We have a zero-tolerance stance towards modern slavery and human trafficking in any part of our business or supply chains. This commitment is rooted in our core brand values of Integrity, Professionalism, and Community.

We are dedicated to ensuring that everyone who works for us or on our behalf is treated with dignity and respect, works freely, and operates in a safe and fair environment.

2. Our Business and Structure
ServiSeek operates a digital marketplace platform that connects local residents with trusted tradespeople and service providers. Our business model is primarily digital, and our direct employees are based in the United Kingdom, working in roles such as technology development, marketing, customer support, and operations.

3. Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include, but are not limited to:
-
Technology Providers: Cloud hosting services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), software development tools, and telecommunications providers.
-
Professional Services: Legal, accounting, marketing, and consultancy firms.
-
Office Supplies: Providers of equipment and supplies for our operational needs.
-
Service Providers on our Platform: The independent tradespeople and businesses ("Pros") who use our platform to offer their services to the public. While they are independent entities, not our direct employees, we recognise our responsibility to promote ethical practices within our entire ecosystem.

4. Our Policies on Slavery and Human Trafficking
We operate several internal policies to ensure we are conducting business in an ethical and transparent manner. These include:
-
Recruitment Policy: We conduct robust right-to-work checks for ServiSeek employees to ensure they are legally permitted to work in the UK. We pay our employees at least the national minimum wage.
-
Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all employees, customers, and partners to report any concerns related to wrongdoing, including modern slavery, without fear of retaliation.
-
Code of Conduct for Partners: This requires our key suppliers and technology partners to adhere to ethical principles, including a prohibition on forced labour.
-
Service Provider Agreement: Our terms and conditions for Pros using our platform explicitly forbid the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labour. We reserve the right to remove any provider found to be in violation of these terms.

5. Due Diligence Processes
To identify and mitigate risks of modern slavery in our own business and our supply chains, we:
-
Assess New Suppliers: We evaluate new key suppliers for their ethical and compliance practices where feasible.
-
Risk-Based Audits: We consider the geographical and industry risks associated with our supply chains and will conduct audits where a higher risk is identified.
-
Platform Vetting: Our process for onboarding Service Providers includes checks to verify their identity and business legitimacy. We encourage a transparent review system where customers can report any concerns about a Pro's practices.

6. Risk Assessment and Management
We assess that the highest potential risk within our sphere of influence lies not within our direct workforce or technology supply chains, but within the operations of the individual service providers who use our platform, particularly in sectors or circumstances where labour exploitation is more prevalent.
We manage this risk through:
-
Clear contractual obligations prohibiting modern slavery.
-
Providing a clear and accessible channel for customers and the public to report concerns.
-
Investigating any allegations made against a Service Provider on our platform and taking appropriate action, which may include suspension and reporting to authorities.

7. Training
We provide training to our staff to ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business. This training is particularly relevant for staff involved in recruiting, onboarding Service Providers, and managing supplier relationships.

8. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
We will measure the effectiveness of our approach through:
-
The number of concerns related to modern slavery raised through our whistleblowing channels and the actions taken.
-
Regular reviews of our Service Provider onboarding and monitoring processes.

9. Further Actions
We are committed to continuously improving our practices to combat modern slavery. In the coming year, we will focus on:
-
Developing clearer guidance for our Service Providers on ethical employment practices.
-
Enhancing the visibility of our reporting channels for customers and the public.
This statement is made pursuant to Section 54(1) of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes ServiSeek Ltd's anti-slavery and human trafficking statement from the date provided.
